Our Botticino Tumbled Marble is hugely popular in kitchens and hallways with its beautiful worn appearance. This stone's soft grey and ivory tones look great with light wooden or hand painted furniture, making it a classic choice and popular with deVOL kitchen customers. This marble contains naturally occurring veins and vents which add to the charm and character of your natural stone floor, along with tumbled edges and corners to add to the authenticity of a floor which looks as it has been laid for centuries. Available in a variety of sizes the Botticino Tumbled Marble also has matching mosaics and splash backs should you wish to create a feature in your home.

You are absolutely hilarious! I ran across your site this past weekend and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to reading more. Oh and your post from early days of cordoning off the construction sites from “clean” areas cracked me up. My husband and I renovated an old pre WWII home in Lansing Michigan as newly weds while living in it. I was like a neurotic fiend trying to constantly have “clean” areas in every room. My mother in law called my clean area in our living room my “oasis”, complete with area rug and picture frames sitting on immaculately dusted end tables – with half opened walls including old lath and exposed electrical wiring in wide open space. Thanks for the laughs! Melinda

Great post! I am excited that traditional decor is making a big comeback. I like to consider my style to be traditional with a trendy twist (and lots of flourishes!). I see so many rooms online that look like catalog shoots where everything is new. I have always liked to mix old, new, handmade, inexpensive, and pricier items for the collected look. I love to collect and hunt for items. I even recently found a bust similar to yours that I am just gaga for. She just got a prominent spot in the living room after taking down the holiday decor. Happy New Year to you and your family, Erin! :-)

I am interested in color psychology and I am redecorating my 10 year old son’s bedroom. He wants to go with a Miami dolphins theme, therefore lots of teal and orange in the bed covers and furnishings. We are trying to decide on a color to paint the walls given the bright colors of the bed coverings etc. we were considering grey, however I was concerned since I am greatly affected by the color. It seems to me to be a depressing color and we want to avoid this of course. What color would you suggest for the walls to go with the theme ? His carpet is a blue/grey in color.
